Pauper's Field
03:30
|
|||
Pull back the rock, reveal the place
where we laid his bones to rest,
closed the eyes of his face,
release the birds,
to fly from their fate,
Mary wept and Judas he ran to his grave.
Wine of blood,
I lick my lips,
for the bread of life I bit it and got a glimpse,
your pierced pawls,
the lions mane,
while the priest where sleeping you off out in the shade
You're wild beast,
you creep at night,
while the Serpent hisses and dims all of the lights,
I kissed your face,
and limped away,
in that pauper's filed I finally got a clean taste.

Mary
01:34
|
|||
Mary come quickly,
theres a Snake in our shed,
Joseph bring your axe and your broken back,
cause I clung to rocks,
scattered my seed,
all just for the sin of company.

Masons
03:37
|
|||
And we built walls like the masons of old,
we built homes to stay in when grown
but we picked and we scraped and we took out the brick,
we're left standing in the ashes Lord of what we have built,
all alone
I met the Holy Ghost,
stabbed Jesus through His bones,
I danced a song on His throne,
He suffered that mortals moan,
who will collect the dead,
I dried the lake but they're still baptized and swimming,
so who, will put this crown on their heads,
or open the ground and consume them in fire instead.

Serpent's Song
01:30
|
|||
The Serpent was sneaking hissing my ears,
how foolish we've all been to take apples and fears,
come fire, burn in away,
just say anything,
this place was my Father's,
a mansion so grand,
how foolish we've all been,
to build our house in the sand,
come water, wash it away,
prove your everything.

Vipers
02:52
|
|||
Your ma was a Viper,
she put the poison in your veins,
I was but a hiker,
stumbling on rocks I can't claim,
who, put the poison in your veins,
who, is to blame,
I stumbled backwards,
back from the path from which I had came,
this time moving some what quicker,
it's in the balance a life can hang,
but I am your Father,
I am the last of the falling rain,
move mountains in winter,
I'll make flowers rise for my Son in the spring,
what is there that I can not tame.

Devil's Teeth
03:56
|
|||
Who wields the axe and prays for redemption,
to find their chains broken or at least they've been loosened by this,
the world waits,
eager to sift through your sadness,
you posted in media,
they will teeth in like wolfs at the bone,
forgive yourself, its over,
and learn to hold to your neighbor,
and I pray that I can love you like I use to,
if you pray that you will love me like you were suppose to,
we've learned in knowledge the bibles been gone through,
that God in the present can come back and bite so bold,
so I bend and I separate the Spirit that binds us,
who wields the axe without meaning to chop down the tree.
